How does Noonlight’s monitoring work? What happens when an alarm is triggered?
That depends on the needs of your business and the type of alarm trigger you have. Some customers who are simply looking to add emergency response to a sensor, panic button, or camera will leverage the Dispatch API. Others will use both the Dispatch and Verify APIs to build a complete video monitoring solution.
Dispatch API: Once an alarm is triggered by your device, one of Noonlight’s authorized agents is immediately in touch with your user via text message to assess the situation and offer support until it is resolved. If emergency services are needed, the agent pushes valuable location and event details directly to local dispatchers to provide the fastest and most informed response.
Verify API: Once a potential threat is detected, footage is automatically pushed to a Noonlight-authorized agent to verify. If there isn't a threat, it’s business as usual without interruption. If the agent sees a threat, an alarm is triggered and your users are notified within seconds. If an alarm is verified as an emergency by a Noonlight agent and the Dispatch API is enabled, footage and event details will be pushed directly to local dispatchers to ensure the alarm is prioritized and the appropriate response is sent.

If no PSAP setup is required, how does a PSAP get notified of a Noonlight alarm?
Noonlight alarms are added to the queue for call-takers at local public safety answering points like any other alarm or 911 call. When responders click on a Noonlight alarm, they are given precise user location data and other information critical to the emergency via the linked, web-based SendPolice dashboard that helps them better triage response.
