On August 5th, 2026, a Noonlight agent verified an X-Sense smoke alarm at a residential property using the recently added Supervisor Dashboard. This was the first confirmed emergency in over 218 X-Sense alarms, and quick dispatch of the local fire department prevented the family’s home from being lost to the fire.
This is a meaningful illustration of how Noonlight and X-Sense work together to turn connected smoke detection into real-world emergency response. New tools, like the Supervisor Dashboard, continue to strengthen Noonlight’s monitoring capabilities and help deliver the outcome that matters most: getting the right help when it is needed.
This was the first verified alarm across more than 218 X-Sense alarms. Despite the rarity of a confirmed emergency, the Noonlight agent quickly recognized the threat and took action, helping prevent a family home from being lost to the fire.
More than 200 previous X-Sense alarms had been handled without a confirmed threat. By distinguishing between events that require emergency response and those that don’t, Noonlight helps ensure customers get help when it’s needed without unnecessary disruption.
Product updates, like the Supervisor Dashboard, enable jumping directly to an active event when additional support is needed. Within one minute of the alarm, a supervising Noonlight agent was on the phone with the customer, who was away from home. At the customer’s request, the agent remained on the line while they returned home rather than immediately contacting 911.
Just 3 minutes and 39 seconds later, the customer confirmed there was a fire. The Noonlight agent immediately dispatched the fire department, balancing the fastest response with the customer’s request and getting help on the way as soon as the emergency was confirmed.
After the alarm was handled, the user sent the following text to the Noonlight agent:
Fast verification, dispatch, and communication with the customer created a seamless experience while demonstrating the shared goal behind X-Sense and Noonlight partnership: helping protect people and their homes when every second matters.
The Supervisor Dashboard, rolled out in August 2026, gives monitoring center supervisors real-time visibility into alarm and verification queue health, agent activity, and individual agent performance metrics. Beyond visibility, the dashboard allows supervisors to take action by claiming active events when additional support is needed–which is precisely what happened for this alarm.
By adding another layer of visibility to the alarm workflow, agents were able to prioritize this unusual event and ensure it received the attention it required.
New tools like the Supervisor Dashboard continue to strengthen Noonlight’s monitoring capabilities and move us closer to a future of automatic safety—where technology and human expertise work together to recognize emergencies, prioritize the right response, and get people help when it’s needed most.
This incident shows that vision in action: an X-Sense device detected a potential emergency, Noonlight helped determine when action was needed, and the right help was quickly sent—all without requiring the customer to initiate the response themselves.
